Realistic movies on war

Some of the movies on war are just brilliantly done. The Beast of War is one such. I saw it only today on TV(It's a 1988 movie).Its a story of how a lone soviet tank fights with the locals of Afghanistan. Very thrilling. Its a must watch!

Few other movies of this kind that I liked:

Saving Private Ryan,The Thin Red Line (Dont remember much about this movie.But some of the scene on nature were breathtaking)
